Cold Fusion Nuclear Measurement Errors: Many nuclear measurement errors are possible in the presence of the deeply penetrating characteristics of EVOs. The errors stem from the use of energy dispersive measurement and absorption methods being used instead of wavelength dispersive techniques. Crystal detectors, some scintillation methods and CR-39 nuclear detectors should not be used as they make a gentle EVO passage look like a cosmic particle event. On page 15 of [2], EVO like particles measured on 2 plastic scintillation detectors as moving at V~20-40 m/s. registered an energy of E ~700 MeV on RFZMP fluorographic film detectors. With EVOs, velocity is not the best indicator of total energy content. Bent crystal spectroscopes and spectrometers should be used to measure radiation whenever there is doubt about the presence of EVOs.
The resulting errors in measurement have lead to many bad assumptions in the work associated with plasma focus machines and in cold fusion technology, where EVOs occur profusely. These errors are at the root of the arguments over the origin of cold fusion energy production and transmutation. With EVOs present, nuclear transmutation is almost always present and these EVOs are the root cause of the excess energy produced [8]. No energy release has been directly traced to the transmutation process itself. |

| "A less frequent phenomenon is the apparent heating to incandescence of iron and steel specimens having high length to width rations. This event is not accompanied by the heating, charring or the burning of combustible materials in contact with the specimen throughout the duration of the event of about two minutes. The fracturing of certain iron and steel geometries accompanied by an anomalous residual magnetic field, permanent in nature, is not uncommon." |

| "The levitation of heavy objects by the Hutchison Effect is not---repeat not---the result of simple electrostatic or electromagnetic levitation. Claims that these forces alone can explain the phenomenon are patently ridiculous, and easily disproved by merely trying to use such methods to duplicate what the Hutchison Effect has achieved, which has been well documented both on film and videotape, and has been witnessed many times by numerous credentialed scientists and engineers. Challengers should note that their apparatus must be limited to the use of 75 Watts of power from a 120 Volt AC outlet, as that is all that is used by Hutchison's apparatus to levitate a 60-pound cannon ball." |

| Rationalizing the "Hutchison Effect" Now, what is the "Hutchison Effect? My peak power was 110 volts at 400 volts.[obviously a Typo -- will correct] This of course was transformed to signal generators* radar systems, broadband systems and high voltage systems and magnetic pulsed coils (4Hz) with an overlap of saturation in the iron core so that one would have a waveform showing this. If one was to study Rene Louis Vallee's and Tom Bearden's work on time reverse waves and scalars, one could see how both phenomena lend to this effect in some way. Vallée does predict a depletion of energy in the structure of space in the vicinity of an earth sized concentration of mass of 57,000 MegaJoules less per cubic meter than that of a cubic meter of interstellar space. If this is so and the potential does exist, then the energy available to produce the observed effects would be of the proper magnitude. Assuming less than 100 % conversion efficiency of my equipment and given the dimensions of the samples, it would seem that the more massive a sample, the greater the potential energy flow. |

If this is so and the potential does exist, the energy available to produce the observed effects would be of the proper magnitude, assuming less than 100% conversion efficiency of our apparatus, and given the dimensions of our target specimen. This being the case, we can assume that the more massive the target specimen, the greater the potential energy flow. |
